The itinerary

  • Day Day 1: Munich

    Accommodation: 5 Star Roomers Hotel, Munich

    Check in to the 5-star Roomers  Hotel on the edge of Munich’s historic centre. Treat yourself to a sauna and massage in the hotel, take a trip to the BMW museum or explore the dining options throughout the Bavarian capital.

  • Day Day 2: Munich to Lienz, via Gerlos Alpine Road.

    Accommodation: 5 Star Grandhotel, Lienz

    In the morning, one of our team will deliver your car to The Roomers Hotel. After a vehicle familiarisation session and route briefing, we’ll hand you the keys and your adventure begins. Once out of Munich, you’ll have the opportunity to explore your car’s limits on some of the de-restricted sections of the autobahn, followed by a drive through the peaks and lakes of the Alps.

    Once in Austria, you’ll make your way to the magnificent Gerlos Alpine Road. This impeccably surfaced road rolls across the Gerlos Pass and through the High Tauern National Park, offering plenty of opportunities to admire the captivating alpine scenery, including the stunning Krimml waterfalls.

    From Mittersill, your route gently winds through the picturesque Felbertauern High Alpine Road before stopping at the quaint medieval town of Lienz, where you can enjoy the luxurious spa on offer at the Grandhotel.

  • Day Day 3: Lienz to Munich, via Grossglockner High Alpine Road

    Accommodation: 5 Star Roomers Hotel, Munich

    Following a grand buffet breakfast, you’ll make your way back to the scenery of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road for one more run, but this time in the opposite direction. Don’t worry, it’s good enough that we guarantee you’ll enjoy it just as much the second time.

    After Grossglockner, the tour continues through the picturesque Austrian lakeside town of Zell Am See before winding cross country to the alpine playground of Kitzbuhel. Enjoy lunch in the vibrant and colourful town centre before motoring back into Germany for a final run up the autobahn to Munich.

  • Day Day 4: Munich

    One of our team will pick up your vehicle from the Roomers prior to check out, giving you the rest of the day to further explore the central Munich neighbourhoods of Marienplatz and Stachus, or the lush parkland surrounding the River Spree.
